Musician by Heart

Jakob’s entire life has revolved around music. Since his pre-teens, he has been performing professionally. He has released several albums, toured intensively and topped the charts within the pop industry as both a producer and a songwriter and with his band The Loft and more recently, working with 80’s synth wave project Neon Capital.

At age twelve, Jakob forms his first band called The Rockabillies, playing rock ‘n’ roll from the 1950s. A year later, Jakob and his band record an album, Dream Girl, at Sun Studio in Memphis, TN with music legend Carl Perkins.

A few years later, Jakob and lifelong musical companion Martin Bøge Pedersen form The Loft, and they start off producing three songs for the soundtrack of the movie Den Eneste Ene which goes double platinum. Following this, the band works intensively on material for their debut album and signs with Universal Music Denmark. Their first single City Of Dreams includes a sample from the song Midt om natten by Danish artist Kim Larsen. The single goes gold, reaches the top of the airplay chart as well as the dance chart and is the most played song on Danish national radio P3 that year. The video for the song is shot in New York City and nominated for a Nordic Music Award. Their debut album No Ordinary Man also goes gold, and the album’s second single Forever becomes a massive radio hit as well. The Loft follows with their second album Little Paul’s BLVD from which the single Kiss You Goodbye reaches gold.

In recent years, Jakob has continued to shape the sound of modern pop. As a producer and songwriter, he has worked with major artists like Medina (the gold-certified "Som Stjernerne") and Bro ("Jeg vil la' lyset brænde"). From 2020 to 2023, he worked with the 80s synth-wave project Neon Capital, whose track "Young" gained international recognition in the hit Netflix series Heartstopper.

Parallel to his career in the pop industry, Yoga and Meditation have been integral to Jakob’s path. His eight-year exploration with esteemed teachers in India, the USA, and Denmark has deeply influenced his artistic expression.

As a devoted student of the Baul tradition under Shri Parvathy Baul, Jakob seamlessly merges professional musicianship with deep meditative practice. His performances are more than just concerts; they are invitations into a shared spiritual space — from intimate Sanctuary Sessions to Kirtan concerts across Scandinavia and Europe.

Jakob is currently signed as a composer and songwriter to the international publishing company Reservoir Media in New York.
